Freezing temperatures can burst your sprinkler system. If you haven’t already, prepare your system now with these steps or call us and we can take care of it for you:
- Close the irrigation main shut off valve
- Open any hose bibs and above ground valves
- Open the main line drain
- Turn the backflow assembly’s #1 and #2 shut-offs to a 45 degree position so that the shut-off is neither open or closed
- Remove water tight caps from test port valves
- Open all test port valves on the backflow assembly
- After the line drains, replace the water tight caps
